A note from the author ...
The success I have had employing Michel Thomas's methodology in my classroom has been spectacular. Pupils adore it, parents want more of it and our MFL Department is thriving off it. The course is language based and skills driven. It enables each pupil to manipulate the foreign language, to form their own coherent sentences, and to formulate and process their own thoughts or ideas. In short, it allows them to say what they want, when they want.
This version of the Michel Thomas system, specially adapted for use in secondary schools, colleges and universities, appealing to visual, audio and kinaesthetic learners, makes an ideal foundation course for those students who are new to the language.
